How to Do On Page SEO

On page optimization is an important aspect of Search Engine Optimization. It is the method by which a number of elements on the web page are properly structured so that it can be found by search engines for desired keywords or keyword phrases.

On page optimization is pretty easy and must be a target not only for the main web page but also for every single content page within the website.

There are some methods you can use that will get you good results for your on Page SEO.

Google determines what is important and ranks the importance by placing you in specific spots on the search pages. Get your most important key word in your title. The least amount of words in the title yet what is there is keyword relevant is the most favored by Google.

You are most likely familiar with header tags. They look like this H1.The header tag is like your title content. It must be as close to the top of the page as possible and contain the keywords.

Add Keywords in H2 header tags: This can be thought of as a sub heading for our webpage. You should place your 2nd most important keyword in the H2 header tag. The H2 tag should be placed somewhere towards the top half of your webpage

How often your keywords show on a page is important. That doesn’t mean that you can plaster them all over the page at random. Google will not approve of this. Key word density is dependant on how often the keyword shows in conjunction with the total number of words. The keywords must read as if they naturally belongs in the text.

Bold or italicized keyword text: Bold is used as strong and italics are used as emphasis tags in the body copy of the blog posts. This will help the search engines like Yahoo which words/phrases should be given more weight.

Many people don’t realize that images can be advantageous for using key words as well these are included in the ALTimage tag. Once again though don’t get carry away with it.

Anchor Text: It is the clickable or the visible text within the hyperlink.

Your Urls are very important as search engines take a look at the words used in these as well. So make sure you use URLs that you can include your keywords in.

How you layout the navigation of your pages is important. If it is easy to navigate and the link structure is done in such a way that it just takes a few clicks to get around then it is good. This helps the spiders in the search engines navigate as well.

There is some speculation that Search Engine Optimization on page is not as apt to achieve the same results as off page SEO.
