How To Delete Internet History

Why would you want to delete internet history? You may want to do so because it is a good way to keep your system organized. Why keep outdated search requests cluttering up your computer? Another reason many people want to learn how to do this is for privacy reasons. Unless you are the sole user with access to your machine, your browsing history is visible to anyone using it. The process is very simple. There are drop down menus to help you through the process.
This article will explain the deletion process for today’s two most popular browsers-Internet Explorer and Firefox. The processes are very similar. I will go through the steps for Internet Explorer 8 in detail. Then a brief overview of the steps for Firefox will follow.
Here is how to delete your Internet 8 browsing history from Internet Explorer 8 if you want to do it before the computer deletes it in twenty days.
Step1- look at the top of your screen. You will see the word TOOLS up there. Click TOOLS. Now you will see a menu.
The menu has several options.
Step 2-The final choice on the drop-down menu is ” Internet Options.” When you click here, you will bring up an option box.
Step 3- Look for, ” Browsing History, ‘ in this box. Select this option.
Step 4- Another box appears. Click the”History” option. A checkmark appears in the box beside the word History. Click the “Delete” button at the bottom of this box.
Step 5- A small information box now appears on your screen. A graphic shows an animation of files being discarded into a garbage can. You are asked to wait until this process is completed. A larger information box also appears on the screen. When the animation stops running, the deletion of your Internet History is almost complete. Now, if you are sure you want to delete the history, click OK at the bottom of this box. If you have decided not to go through with the deletion, click “Cancel.”
Your Internet Explorer 8 browsing history is now deleted. Firefox works in a similar way.
1. In Firefox, first go to TOOLS.
2. Select ” Options”. Select the “Privacy” option.
3. Now choose “History.”
4. Click on the “Clear.”
You have now deleted your Firefox browsing history.
